Event Description

The purpose of the Formidable Footprint Tabletop Exercise is to provide an opportunity for community, faith and neighborhood based organizations along with governmental agencies to assess their capabilities to prepare for, respond to and recover from a wildfire.

During the exercise participants will:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of how prepared their organization or agency is for a wildfire.
  • Establish a concept of operations that will guide their organization or agency through the process of responding to a wildfire to meet the disaster caused needs of community residents.

The
 Wildfire exercise is on
Sat Jan 26, 2013 from 9:00AM - 4:00PM EDT.

It is recommended that a minimum of three individuals participate in the exercise working together as part of a disaster planning / response team. Note: It is only a 3-hour exercise so your group can be scheduled within the 9a-4p timeline as needed.

There is NO charge to participate in these monthly exercises.

The next exercise (on Tornadoes) is scheduled for Feb.

Cool Allison! I didn't turn on RSVP thingy .. but thanks for commenting. They rotate 6 programs over the year so watch for next month's post about tornado exercise in case it's of interest.

Where's the attending button? I'll be attending.
