It is with regret that we advise you that 36-year-old Rockford (IL) Firefighter Terrance Freeman died around noon last Sunday from an apparent heart attack. He had completed a shift about 4 hours earlier and was visiting family. FF Freeman, who is married and has a 2-year-old son, joined the RFD in 2005 and was training to be a paramedic. He was recently recognized for excellence in customer service.

A visitation will be held from 1400-1600 on Saturday, followed by a memorial service at 1600 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home. As always, our sincere condolences.

Funeral Arrangements: A visitation will be held from 1400-1600hrs on 11/28/2009 (Saturday), followed by a memorial service at 1600hrs at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108.

To date, 82 firefighter fatalities have been reported to USFA in 2009; 79 from incidents that occurred in 2009 and three from previous year incidents.
