Chad Muncie is the Program Manager for the DOD Technology Outreach Center at the Public Safety Academy in Fort Wayne. Attached there is some information about the Robotic Loan Program and so much more.
There are many different tasks in which the Robots can be a part of. Chad will sit down and talk with you a little more in depth about our Loan Program and also bring a Robot with me to demonstrate and allow you time to operate the Robot as well.
What do you have to lose? This is a FREE Loan Program that is available for a 4 month Loan. The only thing Chad would need from you is feedback on what you liked or didn’t like about the Robot. If you didn’t like the Robot you have, then you can borrow a different one. So please, take a look at the Robot Pool and see if anything interests you. If you want a little more information, please go to www.gorobot.com.
There are also a lot more equipment available to you then robots. The Department of Defense (DoD) also has a program, the 1401 Technology Transfer program. This program works to identify, evaluate, deploy, and transfer technology, items, and equipment to Federal, State, and local first responders. There are many different items and equipment that are available to you as a First Responder through DoD programs and initiatives. For instance, there is a Night Vision Loan program with devices that can be loaned to law enforcement and corrections agencies for a period of 1 year at the cost of $300.
