There's three ways to study something. The third way is a mix of the first two. The first is the historical; how was this done a generation ago, last year, last century ? .... The second way is comparative studies. How was this done in England in the 19th century ? ... in Hong Kong in the beginning of the colony ? ....and et cetra.

I like to read the various view points from different categories of contributors. The article has entries from:
car drivers, insurance researchers, cops, first responders, public health officials, other government official.
This type of article allows us to avoid the myopic - the narrow view. My emergency management outlook just might be neglecting the sociology of the environment. Et cetra.
