First, thank you to everyone that has welcomed me to USFRA! I don't know how I haven't found this group before.
I have an immediate need to identify a trainer or trainers for five 40-hour classes. The bad news? I need information by Sunday evening.
The good news? The training is in the Virgin Islands and St. Thomas.
Here are the highlights:
Five – 40-hour First Responder training sessions, to be completed by September 30 with flexible training dates available.
The classes, and the curriculum must adhere to the U.S. Department of Transportation's First Responder National Standard Curriculum. The First Responder course is intended to fill the knowledge and skill gap between basic first aid and EMS. The course is for non-EMS providers who, in the course of performing other duties, are likely to respond to emergencies.
If you are experienced in providing this training, or know someone that is, please contact me at your earliest convenience. I will be glad to provide all relevant details to anyone interested.
All responses must be received no later than Sunday afternoon, February 7. Please feel free to share this query and my contact information with anyone you deem appropriate.

Thanks Mark and glad you posted it in here too since posts in groups send out a message to all followers. I'll also share this on USFRA FB page to help get the word out. Good luck!!
I just saw your reply Janet. Thanks for posting to the FB page. :)
I share the information to our Facebook page, I hope it garners you some phone calls. I wish we had more time to help you with this.
Thanks Captain, and thanks Janet. Unfortunately, the turnaround time to put this bid together was extremely short. I'm not sure why some clients do this, as it rarely results in the best trainers and the best prices being available.
I hope to hear from some of your members!
Hi Mark, great post but I doubt if you heard anything from our members. Most have families and would need more leeway to make decisions such as this. Maybe if we had more time to promote, you would have gotten a better response.
You are absolutely correct on the time issue Allison. Unfortunately, the client gave us precious little time to respond. Fortunately, I have heard from a member who is interested and quite possibly available. I hope to hear from others who may be interested in future opportunities as well.
Thanks for the insight. This is new territory for us and we're only pursuing these particular classes because they are part of a much larger training package that we can directly provide. We're always seeking new, interested, great trainers and professionals to increase our ability to respond to a wider variety of opportunities.
