the CaraClaw brings together clipping and cutting in a 2.8-ounce carabiner knife. It is composed of a stainless steel lock mechanism, rubber-coated nylon handle, and solid 440 stainless blade. The CaraClaw measures 3-3/4" long with the blade closed. A release button on the side extends the 1-1/8" knife, which also locks in the open position. To use, put your first two fingers inside the carabiner and rest your ring finger on the Claw's tail. Note that the tool should not be used as a weight-bearing carabiner, just as a means of keeping the blade protected and close at hand.

The Guardian Angels remains a volunteer-based organization made up of dedicated individuals who generously donate their time and energy to help protect communities around the world.
A unique feature of The Guardian Angels approach is the group's inclusion of inner city youth in the safety patrols. By making young people part of the solution rather than casting them as part of the problem, The Guardian Angels empowers youth to take pride in their communities and contribute to the safety of their neighborhoods. Over the years, Curtis and his Angels have empowered thousands of citizens - both young and old - to take responsibility for cleaning up their communities and safeguarding their streets. As a result, there are now more than 130 Guardian Angels safety patrol chapters throughout the world, with constant additions being made. And the grassroots community patrols that Curtis began also spurred the creation of neighborhood watch groups throughout the United States and around the world.
There are currently more than 130 chapters in 17 countries.
The official Guardian Angels site is www.guardianangels.org
Note: This Group is open to everyone and we encourage Guardian Angels, First Responders and the general public to share ideas, stories, experiences and information about this amazing group of volunteers.

I'm happy to see this group here. Nicely done. I hope to contribute to the conversation soon.
Amen to that Mark and I too am looking forward to seeing the photos from the event.
I find myself looking forward to the Ceremony on Monday October 15 th at the Ft.Pierce police HQ.It is nice to know that the efforts of our team is appreciated by Law Enforcement. It was amazing being out in the streets looking for those teens and getting comments of appreciation from the patrol officers that we ran into while we were out there. What I thought was really cool is that each shift had advance notification that the Guardian Angels were helping the dept. with a high risk missing persons case. For all LEO's that are out there who appreciate the Guardian Angels organization I'd like to say Thank you for you appreciation and support.May God Bless and protect you all, and thank you for putting your lives on the line to protect the communities that you serve.
That's fantastic Mark .. great job! Looking forward to seeing photos of the appreciation / award ceremony!!!
The Treasure Coast Guardian Angels were recently involved in the search for two local teens that were missing. We searched for three days following up on tips called in to us by members of the community. On the second day we got a tip that lead us to an abandoned house that they were hiding out in.The first time we looked around the property we did not find anything, but after following another lead we returned to the abandoned house and discovered that it was occupied at that time.We ran around the side of the house only to discover the two teens running out of the back yard and down the street,we gave chase but lost them in the neighborhood. The following day we got a tip from a person who said that she was in contact with the teens who were tired and hungry and wanted to turn themselves in.She told us that she had agreed to let the teens come spend the night at her house that evening, we suggested that she call us when they get to her house which she did. When we got to the location we spoke to the teens and explained to them exactly what was going to happen and what they needed to do to make it simple and easy and without conflict. After we spoke to the teens I called the lead detective and informed her that we had the teens in custody which she was thrilled to hear.At this point I called 911 dispatch and two officers came out and took the teens into custody. The female was taken to the hospital for 72 hours observation because she had written a suicide note, the male was taken to the local juvenile detention center because he had outstanding warrants. It is for this reason that the Ft.Pierce Police Dept. will be issuing our Guardian Angels chapter and individual members involved in the search certificates of appreciation for their efforts.I will post pictures when the awards are given, which should happen some time in the next week or two.
Thanks Mark and as Tone suggested, I added your video in a discussion with another vid I found shortly after the shooting and the recent article about Little Joey (finally) apologizing. Sliwa and ALL of you are to be commended for your work.
