Hometown Hero contest (nominate D-FW responders for chance to win 2 hot passes from StarCom Racing + Landon Cassill at NASCAR #OReilly500)

** Looking for Dallas/Fort Worth TX First Responder nominations for Hometown Hero Contest for a chance to win 2 HOT PASSES before/by 6p Friday March 30, 2018 for the #OReilly500 race at Texas Motor Speedway April 8th! **

U.S. First Responders Association is looking for D/FW Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement and Military personnel who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for StarCom Racing’s Hometown Hero Contest.

The winner will receive VIP Experience with StarCom Racing and NASCAR driver Landon Cassill at Texas Motor Speedway on April 8, 2018.

The objective of StarCom Racing’s Hometown Hero initiative is to bring awareness to the efforts of our nation’s first responders and to recognize one responder that has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Hometown Hero VIP Experience

The Hometown Hero and their guest will enjoy Transporter Hospitality, which includes food and drinks, pit tours, driver and crew meet and greets, and all access to the pit area and in the actual garage area up close and personal with the USFRA #00 race car itself.

Nowhere else in sports are you this close to the integral parts of the action, listening on headsets of the two way radio communication between the driver and crew chief, talking and interacting with the crew in the pits, and sitting on top of the pit box.

Nomination process

  • Submit the active duty or retired Fire, EMS, LEO or military person’s name, rank, agency, ph# or email id, and a brief description of the act(s) that make him or her your choice for Hometown Hero in 100 words or less
  • All nominations must be received by 6 p.m. Central FRIDAY, MARCH 30, 2018.
  • Candidates must be in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex, winner and guest must both be 18+ yrs old.
  • You can post requested data in the comments below, message me, or email all to Janet at

USFRA staff will narrow nominations down to the top 10 names/heroes then we’ll do a drawing to choose D/FW Hometown Hero winner Saturday March 31.

USFRA will also pull 2 backup names in case the winner is not able to attend April 8 race then #2 (or #3 if #2 cannot attend either) will be honored at Texas Motor Speedway.

Please share this post with Dallas/Fort Worth responders, family, friends, colleagues and agencies and good luck!
