Having worked as a subway first response supervisor I managed to experience a wide variety of events.Fighting terrorism, fires, floods and suicide clean-ups was just the tip of the iceberg. There were so many different unruly track level incidents, but was fortunate to have logged zero lost time due to injuries by crewmembers. Am I wrong to consider myself so lucky?

And for the record, I am not from the HAZMAT or structural firefighter world per se, -I have some training in that realm, but my specialty is 'earth science' when it comes to disaster response and recovery.

Thanks for the invitation...I am naturally curious about this particular topic, and let me know what comes up if you could. This is a slightly unknown specialty of emergency management, and FEMA has all sorts of levels regarding this subject matter. I will be sure to raise a little hell on this blog site.
