About Me
I have been a first responder since 1982. Most years have been a volunteer, with the American Red Cross, RACES, and an expired certification EMT (plan on renewing) for ARC's FAST team. I have worked extensively in hospital pro bono, including two trauma center, NICU, and PICU, and worked in rehab for accidents causing a TBI, paralysis, loss of limbs, and other physical trauma. I am a Doctor of Psychology, have a Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Preparedness. I am completing a Master in Public Health in a medical emergency, mass injury, and casualty events, hazmat incidences, MVA's, terrorism, pandemics, airplane accident/crash, and everything in between starting from giving a bandage for the bleeding arm from my cat scratching someone! Last, I have extensive experience working with victims of rape, molestation, DV, child abuse, and neglect. U gave worked extensively with offenders, working at maximum secruity prisons in California and Illinois. One of my favorite things to do at work is assessments. I like forensic, clinical, neurological, psychological, developmental, with adults and children. It is great to give tests where there is no "wrong" answer! I have a certificate, Fellow with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and several professional certificates. I am a professional life coach and psychology graduate professor.

Every day is an opportunity to make a
difference in the world. That is 365 days in one ye!
My mother for being the best mom any baby, child, girl, young woman, and mature woman could ever have. She just past away this past May 2017. My dad for being a stable, loving presence, who I know can fix everything in the world! He is my Duracell dad at 84 and still working! My brother who loves me even though he doesn't like saying it. Nobody could have a better brother! His wife who became a deputy sheriff in her 40's, she is brave! I really admire her for grasping what she wanted! She is also a beautiful, strong, fun and funny, and loving sister that I never had. Her kids, and their kids, especially a beautiful, smart, loving, sweet, angel young woman in college that I claim part of, a tall, gorgeous, loving and gracious young woman, my other grandniece and a handsome heartbreaker young man that is really too sweet and loving to break hearts. The best kids anyone could ever have! Too bad they aren't mine, but we still have time for me to adopt, should my niece and nephew want to give any away! Mh niece is smart, funny, beautiful, adventurous, sensitive, even when she tries to look otherwise. She is such a blessing to me, my dear departed mother (Nana), and dad. Her husband is a loving man who is both funny and sensitive and is partially responsible for that star child of his. He makes me laugh, was right there when I cried (he knows how I feel), and would give someone the shirt off his back (not the motorcycle and other toys, but the shirt!) I am still waiting for my homemade pizza, and cheesecake! I can not leave out my other departed heroes, my grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, and uncles. I still have one Aunt and one Uncle and families left living. I had such a great time with them all. I know for sure that I was a special granddaughter for one particular grandmother and one aunt! I don't like to play favorites, but it was evident with us. I have the best cousins too. I don't have to go outside of my family to find my Hero's. Of course, Jesus Christ is much more than a hero to me, as my Lord and Savior. He has sent some special people outside of my family to help guide me along and support my spirituality; some special pastors, and priests, especially one Fr. Garry, and thank you Pastor Bakewell, Pastor Paul, and Mylon. You all were there when I needed you. I also have a very special community of fellow Lay Dominicans that I am a part of. They pray for me and support me at all times. The only public figure I can think of as a hero is Cinderella and all the Disney Princesses. They all were moral and kind, and found their true loves! Well, someday my prince will come. I am still hopeful!
