I have been in emergency services for over 25 years, including serving as a firefighter and paramedic, American Red Cross and National Park Service first responder, captain of a federal Emergency Medical Response Team and Decontamination Team, member of a federal National Emergency Medical Response Team, and President/Director of Operations for an international non-profit organization. I also served in the Marine Corps infantry for 14 years including three combat tours in Iraq. I am currently working on a full-time contract as the Emergency Preparedness Manager for the National Cancer Institute.
