Hidden Dangers in Hotels and Motels

Posted on June 18, 2016 at 10:03pm 4 Comments

Hello All,

As a professional firefighter we preach FIRE SAFETY, yet we overlook a huge safety issue that lurks at all hotels and motels in the USA. We inspect the hotel main lobby, storage area, laundry facility, pool areas, but we never inspect the rooms.

Lou Angeli was a Video/photojournalist and worked on production of Rescue 911, worked for CNN, ABC. Lou worked many natural disasters doing reporting, video h photo. Lou worked side by side me in 93 during the Great Flood in St. Louis.

Rest In Peace Lou, your work will truly be missed

Memorial Service pending will post as soon as I have more infor.

Flashover a very deadly situation.

Posted on July 15, 2013 at 7:27pm 0 Comments

We can talk all we want, train all we can train and try to watch for the signs of a flashover.........but with everything going on so fast we can forget the signs.

Be aware of your surrounding, make sure ventilation is made prior to entry and the crews know what to do if the situation arises for possible flashover survival.

Sad read. Prayers to the injured and the one in critical injury with burns over his body is in St. Louis, Mo Burn Unit.

Here is the AP Press Release…
