Redmond Marine killed in Afghanistan
Friends and family described Lance Cpl. Eric L. Ward, a 19-year-old Marine from Redmond who died Sunday in Afghanistan, as a proud and generous man who kept everybody around him laughing. Lance Cpl. Fire Safety Pledge Winners
Last fall, tens of thousands of families across the country learned more about fire safety and home fire hazards through the interactive Fire Safety Pledge program. Families tested their fire safety knowledge with a short quiz and then credited a point to their local fire department. The fire departments in the communities that rallied the most support earned a $10,000 Pledge Award!
