We can be heroes for each other.
We can heal together.

Subway Tunnel

I recall running down the tunnel fully loaded with equipment and trying to anticipate the actual problems ahead. Every footfall was dark, dangerous and potentially deadly, but not one crew member was seriously injured under my watch. Wayne G

While working as a subway First Response Supervisor, I quickly learned the many pitfalls of this position. My shift was the afternoon 3 to 11 shift, Saturdays to Thursdays of each week. Now for those of you in large metropolitan areas, you will appreciate the concept of 'rush hour' traffic. We have close to 7 million people to deal with here in Toronto, and trust me...the roads are busy for approximately 4 hours of my shift every work day. (Weekends can still have rush hour traffic due to sports…See More

Hi wayne .. and thank you for joining USFRA! We encourage you to check out our Forums, Groups, blogs and Chat features … and personalize your page with unlimited pictures, music, videos and blogs.

Please take a moment to read our SOGs (Standard Operating Guidelines) for the site … and join the USFRA Community Central Group for some “Getting Started” tips and to stay current on features and updates. While you’re there, snoop at and join other Groups or create your own.

We also have the USFRA Partner Link Directory, Top Sites Directory, as well as the Events calendar, where you can contribute your community events, conferences, expos, fundraisers and Classifieds, to post your jobs, resumes, buy, sell or trade.

A quick tip for moving around in the Forums ~ use the “View” drop-down menu to toggle between “categories” and “discussions” (the latter provides a list of all forum posts sorted by date ~ comes in handy to see what you’ve missed.)

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please let me or Fyrewebmaster or Tony or Bob know. Thanks again for joining and don't forget to invite your friends and co-workers!

Stay safe out there, j
