Military Col. could plea GUILTY to all charges

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Col. Russell Williams, the former commander of CFB Trenton facing murder and sexual assault charges, could plead guilty to all charges, according to a report on theglobeandmail.com.

The prosecution and defence have agreed in principle to a plea bargain that would also include 82 burglary-related charges laid this week, the newspaper says, citing two unnamed sources close to the investigation.

First Responder fire rescue truck burned -(NS)

BOISDALE — Firefighters in Boisdale were called to an early morning blaze Wednesday only to learn it was their own medical first-responder truck that had been set alight.

Cape Breton Regional Police say someone broke into the Boisdale firehall sometime after 4:20 a.m. Wednesday. A police spokeswoman could not be reached to comment on the investigation.

Big Law Suit Against Local Fire Dept (HFX, NS)


insurance companies for homeowners affected by a forest fire last year in Halifax are suing the city and the fire department.

CBC-TV reports the companies filed 18 separate lawsuits Wednesday claiming about $10 million in damages, with each claim representing a family with either a lost or damaged home.

Halifax fire chief, deputy sue for access to The Coast's commenters

It seems in a world where internet is the key communications to most news and discussions, that many feel safe, hidden and capable of saying whatever they want to.
