Flashover a very deadly situation.

We can talk all we want, train all we can train and try to watch for the signs of a flashover.........but with everything going on so fast we can forget the signs.

Be aware of your surrounding, make sure ventilation is made prior to entry and the crews know what to do if the situation arises for possible flashover survival.

Sad read. Prayers to the injured and the one in critical injury with burns over his body is in St. Louis, Mo Burn Unit.

Static Displays Safety

Firework Stand Safety

As I travel the USA I see these Firework Stands pop up everywhere. I see many issues and problems with them. From the storage trailers not being marked with the USDOT Orange Explosive 1.4 marking too stands operating with NO FIE EXTINGUISHERS!I have seen one over the weekend within 50 feet of the stand in south eastern Nebraska stand workers having a bottle rocket fight and smoking! WOW what could of happened?

Why.....why.....why in the world would a fire department allow these stands…
