Recently back from the trip to New York. I hung out with firefighters of Engine 233 and Ladder 176 in Brooklyn. What a great group of guys! They gave me a tour of New York and expressed their deep sentiment of what happened that day as well as how they have proceeded since. They also included me in several ride alongs and took me on a tour of New York I would not soon forget - - - - even though most of the trip has been a blur. Haha. My hat is off to those guys, they truly are the Bravest.… Continue

The photos below are of the 9/11 ceremonies in the Pelham section of the Bronx. D/M Ken Corrigan who was a 1st responder on the morning of the attacks, was told not to march to WTC because the 1st responders were not invited. D/M Corrigan was asked by the Jacobi Medical Center to provide a presence for the ceremonies.

I am a New Yorker. Today is especially poignant. I was on a foot bridge leading to the World Trade Center 5 days earlier but home 32 miles away on 9/11/2001.
I focused on the children who's parents would be stranded in NYC that day. I focused on helping them on their 3rd day of school find a home for the night if necessary. Our town has a large percentage that commute to Manhattan every day. First responders in our community were lost that day too. Because commuter transport was shut… Continue

The observance of Patriot Day in America marks the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. As you remember those who died, and the heroes who responded with sacrifices of compassion, take courage with these words of hope and comfort from Scripture. Psalm 119:114 "Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word." (KJV)

NYC Policemen and Firefighters are not invited to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 at Ground Zero..... Apparently there isn't enough room. They weren't invited on that day in 2001 either; THEY JUST SHOWED UP! Please re-post if you think those heroes belong there more than the Politicians do !!!!!!!!!!

Sept. 11 is close what are you doing?
The middle east has monitors that do nothing but watch our many hours and many channels of news looking to report things about us to the terrorists. Lets give them something to report and shake up a few nerves. Get out your flags, if you still have one for your car get it out too. Small flags on sticks can be found at dollar stores and places like Target and Walmart. The magnetic ribbon will work too. I have a seventh grader who told me she doesn't… Continue
