Hello All:
First I want to say "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" to all First Responders, Police, Fire, Medical and lets not forget our Military Members who are keeping us save we can have a safe and Happy day. I will never forget the Military personnel, they are many miles away from there family and friends so before we take that first bite of what ever it is you are going to be eating on Nov. 24,2001 say a prayer, it can be short, long or even listen to a prayer but please do this before we eat, as many of our members our protecting us and they are probly not eating , they are walking the streets to seek out the bad guys/girls. and you may even want to hold your glass up to thank them so you can sit at the table and eat.
Now lets remember to read the instruction on how to prepare our Turkey, first make sure you remove the neck, giblets from the turkey may it be in the front or rear of the turkey, be there done that, its not cool, next if you do your turkey in a oven roast bag read the instruction that came with the bag, I was listening to a radio talk show yesterday and several people called in and where tell of horror stories of the bag catching on fire and turkey dinner is over, I have never had this happen to me, but hey you never know, so read all the instruction before using it, and another thing if you use a deep fat fryer "PLEASE" be very careful, watch the video on this web site it was very informative on using the fryer, you can can get hurt and/ or die.
Now if you are at a friends, relative, or else where and you have been drinking "DO NOT DRINK and DRIVE" and remember to wear your seat belt, you have heard me say this a million times but there are still those that do it, come on wake up, cell phones useage in New York must be done with hands free, and the other big thing is texting and driving so many people keep doing this and are killed or kill others , if you need to text or use your phone pull over to the edge of the road or pull into a parking lot.
Put most of all enjoy your time with family and friends and Thank a solider for our freedom, if you are looking for something to do Volunteer at your local VFW, American Legion or the VA hosipital or service group this can be very satisfying.
Take Care and hope to hear from you.
