Premium Motorsports and Dr Jaz pay tribute to U.S. First Responders Association at NASCAR Chicagoland Speedway

This Sunday (17-Sep-2017) Premium Motorsports and driver, Gray Gaulding will utilize the hood of the No.55 Toyota Camry to honor and raise awareness to the U.S. First Responders Association at Chicagoland Speedway for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, ‘Tales of the Turtle 400’.

Dr. Kenneth Jazdzewski (Dr. Jaz), a Dentist at Heritage Dental, in Antioch IL, has a love for his practice, his family, NASCAR racing and the U.S. First Responders Association.

Dr. Jaz’s cousin, Ronald Szarzynski, a retired fire chief was an enthusiast NASCAR fan who often went to the races with Dr. Jaz and family. Unfortunately, Ronald passed away from Pancreatic Cancer.

The doctor and Ronald’s son, Ronny Szarzynski, wanted to honor his memory with a purple pancreatic cancer awareness ribbon on the #55 but they also wanted to do something more to raise awareness for the first responders who do their best to save as many lives as they can every day, as they tried to do for Ronald.

I’ve been involved in a couple of smaller sponsorships in the past with another team, but this time I wanted it to be bigger. It’s so cool and we’re more involved with this sponsorship than we were in the past when we had my office, ‘Heritage Dental’ on a car in the Xfinity Series last year, so we’re really excited and looking forward to this weekend.

My cousins’ son, Ronny (Szarzynski) had the idea about putting the pancreatic awareness ribbon on the car. I thought it was a great idea so he and I decided to be co-sponsors on the car. We probably won’t leave the track until Monday morning.

For us, this is all about paying tribute to the first responders and remembering Ronald” – Dr. Kenneth Jazdzewski

Read full press release on PremiumMotorsports.net and watch the ‘Tales of the Turtles 400’ race at Chicagoland Speedway Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 3PM ET on NBCSN.

And follow Premium Motorsports on Twitter or Facebook for updates throughout the weekend.

On behalf of USFRA staff and members … thank you Dr. Jaz, Ronny S., Premium Motorsports and Gray Gaulding (No. 55) for supporting the U.S. First Responders Association in the NASCAR Monster Energy Series Tales of the Turtles 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Good luck!

Unfortunately no Alli ~ it was a one time special opportunity for USFRA thanks to Dr. Jaz, Ronny S and Premium Motorsports. But we'll keep everyone posted if it comes up again!

awesome David - thank you! And thanks for getting them a decal

Comment by David Pence on September 18, 2017 at 4:47am

Thanks Janet, I hope so. It was really nice seeing the logo being honored at a national sporting event. I watched it with a group of eight first responders at our favorite watering hole. The owners were impressed and now want a decal for the bar. Haha. I've already purchased it for them. Keep up the great work, you're doing an excellent job.

Thanks David -- yes it was very cool watching Gray drive around track with that great looking seal on hood! This was a gift from Dr Jaz (in Chicago metro) and Premium Motorsports to honor Dr Jaz's cousin (Chief Ron S) and all first responders so not sure if other races are in our future, but ... we'll keep everyone posted if that changes..!

Comment by David Pence on September 17, 2017 at 6:17pm

It was a good race and the seal looked great on the car. Will USFRA be participating in other races?
