If you comment on your profile they will never see your thanks for the birthday wishes, comments or whatever else, unless they come to your page. When you comment back to someone on their profile, they will get an email alerting them that they have a comment. So, Etta and Tony won't see your thanks to them right now. OR you could send your thanks in the white status box (where you are wishing everyone a Merry Christmas) and all the members will see it, including Etta and Tony when they log on.
