We encourage folks to sign up for both the national list and the state's list. The main reason to sign up for the state's list is that Florida Department of Agriculture will launch an investigation after they receive three complaints within a month. The national investigations take many more complaints to initiate. Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam worked with the state Legislature three years ago to eliminate the fee to sign up for the state's Do Not Call list. Since that time, the list has grown from about 70,000 subscribers to more than 700,000.
