Roehl Transport Inc. delivered a 900 pound piece of I-Beam from one of the fallen Trade Center buildings, Tuesday.
The company donated its time and money to deliver the piece from New York.
Marshfield's Fire Chief says it's been a two year process to acquire the steel beam.
He says it's important to give everyone an opportunity to experience a part of ground zero
"For many people it's going to be an opportunity for some closure or possibly reconnect to the tragedy of that day."
Across town, UW Wood County - Marshfield pays tribute to soldiers overseas.
The school hosts an exhibit titled "Always Lost." It recognizes the sacrifice of American Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
It features photographs and poems.
A program highlighting the exhibit is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th at 7pm.
The program is at the Helen Laird Theatre on the school's campus.
It's free and open to the public.
