Hello all;

Yea its me the one that yells at you about driving and safety and all that other stuff, I still keep reading about Fire Vehicles rolling and firefighters hurt or dyeing, come on wear your SEAT BELTS, don't think if you are a Police officer you don't need your belts on you need them just as much if maybe more then the FD. It maybe uncomfortable to wear but if you wear them daily you will get use to them, sure it may slow you down a bit if you have to foot chase some bad…

Seat Belts & 4th of JUly

Riding unsecured on a moving apparatus is risky behavior that has life-altering consequences. Forces generated by speeds of just 5 mph are strong enough to break the grip of an adult and result in serious injury. Failing to be seated and seatbelted is reckless behavior that can result in a near miss, injury or death. Families are left wondering, “Why was my loved one not belted? Who was in charge and allowed that to happen?” Who among us has prepared themselves to stand in front of a…

Fathers Day

Coincidentally, the first state to actually celebrate Father’s Day was Washington — named for the father of our country. The first statewide celebration was in 1910. It came about as the result of a campaign by Sonora Smart Dodd, the Tacoma daughter of a single father, a widower, who raised six children.

The concept of honoring fathers actually gained traction from Mother’s Day, which had its origins after the Civil War and the early feminist movement that had pacifist overtones. In…

Memorial as I look at it

Memorial Day originally emerged in 1868 as Decoration Day - a day to honor war dead by decorating their graves with flowers. The last Monday in May has become a day to remember those who have given their lives for our country through military service. Tomorrow, fly your flag half-staff until noon. Memorial Day is an official national day of mourning to remember America's war dead and to give thanks to all who have served and are serving this great nation...America...God Bless all -…

Happy Easter

Well short and sweet and to the point, we had another accident and this one was in California were two fire trucks collided and several civilians were injured and the firefighters hurt or not got out and took care of the injured civilians and then some of them there selves had to be taken to hospital's.

So like I say keep your eye's open and watch, I know we can not always avoid accidents but, there needs to be some type of systems that could be put in all emergency vehicles that lets…

Its Friday and time for my weekly reminder about driving and responding to and from what ever it was you went to. Now that its starting to warm up around here its been in the mid 50's and then mid 40's, but anyway the snow is melting and we all know that its time for creeks, rivers and streams to start flooding if they haven't already they will be and I hope you have been reading about what to do and not do in floods and how to help each other.
