Well its been a very hectic month here in WNY, as my wife has found out that her mother is not well as she has stage 4 cancer and its in both lungs, spine, back, legs. Her mother is 89 yrs. old and a fighter when it comes to being sick, so she is not going to take any treatment as she is just to old to she has said. She is taking it well she knows what is going on as she still has her witts and can still get around, she goes to her Sr. center once a week and makes her lunch, super and bed time snack. But as far as how long she has we will not know till Tuesday. My wife has gone over to Scotland to be with her mother and to let her sister who still lives over in Scotland a break.
Put aside from that how are we doing on the response driving, and let's take a moment of silence and a prayer for those who have died in the line of duty, may it be Police or Firefighters. To many are leaving this earth to early. Here in NY we had a State work and a local work for a highway dept, die and also a NY State Police officer die of injuries. So please bow your head and say a prayer............................. Thank you.
Back to our driving skills are they getting better, worse or about the same, have been reading different magazines and I see some of our driving is still the same, as there have been several roll overs, accidents that we maybe could have prevented such a intersection crashes, T-bones, Response vehicles crashes with each other. Come on we are suppose to be careful we are no good if we crash and dispatch has to send another unit to the crash and to the call we were responding to. The bad weather has not gotten here yet so may be we should sit down and watch some videos on bad weather driving. There have been several courses on highway vehicle set-up but still the wacko's and other drive like a bunch of crazy fools. Gt a sharp look out when you are in a bd area on the road for that nut who is bitching that you are going to make them late to where they are going.
With that said, take care and have a safe Halloween night.
Stay safe and train,train
