Vehicle manufacturers submit emergency response guides and rescue sheets to USFRA for covered electric-powered vehicles, multipurpose  vehicles, construction and mining vehicles. This provides first and second responders access to information regarding the safe handling of battery-, hybrid-, and fuel cell electric vehicles in emergencies and for towing and storing operations.

An emergency response guide contains in-depth vehicle-specific information related to fire, submersion, leakage of fluids, towing and storage of vehicles for responders. A rescue sheet is an abbreviated version of the emergency response guide that gives quick information about a vehicle's construction, intended for use by responders at the scene of a crash.

Pet oxygen masks to help first responders save more lives.

Why Pet Oxygen Mask are Needed?

When a fire strikes a home, smoke inhalation is one of the most lethal factors affecting victims. Pets are especially susceptible to this threat due to their small airways and limited lung capacity. Unfortunately, oxygen masks designed for humans are often too wide and too shallow to properly fit over an animal’s snout, which means oxygen cannot be administered efficiently. As a result, many pets perish before they have a chance to receive proper veterinary care.

USFRA is on a quest to help supply this much needed tool to firehouses throughout the Nation.
