VIDEO OF THE DAY! March 24, 2015

Published on Mar 15, 2015 Police officer insists driver exit vehicle but he doesn't comply claiming he feared being the next Mike Brown A Philadelphia man was physically removed from his car by a Bordentown City police officer after the man refused to leave the car during a traffic stop. Video footage taken from inside the car shows Abdoul Aziz Koita being pulled from the car by Officer Vincent Bernotas after Koita refused to exit the vehicle along a city road. “The reason why I didn’t want to get out (was) because I didn’t know what he was going to do,” he said. “If I get out, I don’t know if I’m going to be the next Mike Brown. "Koita said he is preparing to file suit over the incident, as his attorney believes that race could have played a factor.

DEPUTY RECOGNIZED FOR HEROIC ACTIONS

From the Brevard County Sheriff's Office

I would like to recognize the heroic actions of Deputy Nick Worthy, who risked his life last night while upholding his constitutional oath in the protection of our citizens.

Last night’s incident started at approximately 9:08 PM, when the Brevard County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Moss Lane and Aurora Road, Cocoa, to assist the Cocoa Police Department regarding the report of an armed subject discharging a firearm in a residential area. The original 911-caller stated the suspect was repeatedly shooting from across the street and a bullet had entered their home, which was occupied by children.
