USFRA.org and Wellcentive is proud to support future healthcare professionals with their first Medical Scholarship for Veterans. This scholarship will be awarded to one achievement-focused student intending to pursue a career in Medicine.
Inspired by one of our co-founders who is a former United States Marine, Wellcentive stands in support of our armed forces who valiantly serve and protect our interests and citizens around the world, and especially those who wish to contribute to the field of Medicine. That’s why we are awarding $1,000 to one veteran pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree.
Medicine is a challenging field of study. We know that tomorrow’s doctors, nurses, researchers and care workers put in long hours of study every day. Our hope is that this scholarship will help remove some financial obstacles and allow a passionate student to dedicate their time to succeeding academically. We feel this is particularly important for veterans, who have already made such great sacrifices to help others.
