Some examples of USFRA Disaster Relief for the first responder community include:
USFRA and Jägermeister joined forces and donated $10k in disaster relief to 5 agencies (Little Gasparilla Island Fire Rescue, Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District, Sanibel Fire Rescue District, Upper Captiva Fire & Rescue District in FL and Cohutta Police Department in GA) that were hit hard by Hurricane Ian and a fire. USFRA joined others in Panama City, Florida to purchase and donate food and supplies for a convoy of relief efforts for Louisiana dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. Read more
One of USFRA’s premiere partners – Jägermeister
– has played a very active role in relief efforts following several disasters and emergencies. After Hurricane Michael devastated USFRA’s hometown of Panama City and the Florida panhandle in Oct 2018, Jägermeister wanted to show appreciation for the heroes on the front lines, and generously donated over 400 backpacks along with $25,000 to USFRA for the First Responder Thank You event held Dec 2018 at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Lynn Haven, Florida USFRA also handed out 15 K-9 gift bags ~ Read more and watch a short video of the event
Mossy Pond Volunteer Fire Department in rural Calhoun County (FL) lost their fire station during the Category 5 Hurricane Michael storm, then lost gear and tools in the aftermath due to looters. USFRA donated to MPVFD's station rebuilding fund and encouraged others to help them recover. Read more
USFRA and Jägermeister helped the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation and West Malibu Volunteer Fire Brigade in California after the Woolsey Fire roared into Malibu. Read more
New York was hit hard during the covid-19 outbreak so USFRA and MJUS teamed up to thank 5Volunteer Fire Departments
