USFRA K9 Relief Fund

k9 relief fund

Through the USFRA K9 Relief Fund, USFRA will provide grants to K9 handlers who meet the below eligibility criteria, as reviewed and verified by the U. S. First Responders Association.

Subject to the availability of funds contributed to the Fund, a one-time grant of $250 will be disbursed directly to the applicant following USFRA’s review and confirmation that their submitted application meets the guidelines. Awards will limited to one grant per K9/handler.

Who Should Apply To Receive Funds?

Funds will be available for active duty K9s who…

  • Work part- or full-time in the public safety industry and live in the United States.
  • Volunteer or work with SAR teams or organizations and reside within the United States.

Agencies (Police, Sheriff, DPS, Fire, EM, USAR, NPS, CBP, CAP, etc.) and SAR organizations, as well as handlers may apply for a $250 grant per each active duty K9. If a team is submitting an application for more than one K9, please provide some details about what each grant will be used for.

Our one-time grants are intended to help K9 teams with various expenses for your good boys and girls such as:

  • Dog food and the all-important treats;
  • Vet care, medical supplies, kits;
  • Toys, training tools, eye / ear protection, safety equipment, etc.

Grants will only be awarded to K9s based and living in the U.S., and applications are processed on a first in, first out basis and awarded as funds are available.

Future K-9 Calendar

Once each grant is awarded USFRA will request photo(s) and some background data about your K9 since we plan to produce a calendar using at least a dozen K9 grant recipients, with the goal of producing calendars each year going forward. Proceeds from the sale of calendars will be added to this K9 Relief Fund.

Please share this campaign with your fans and communities so individuals and businesses learn how to donate to this cause and help K9s all across America.

Also, if your company or organization offers products or services for K9s and handlers, please consider becoming a Sponsor/Partner since we plan to include their information and deals with each grant awarded.
